The DrayTek VigorAP 805 is a high-performance desktop Dual-Band Mesh access point with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) support, designed for home use, retail shops, offices and businesses that require reliable and fast wireless connectivity. Operating on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, it delivers AX3000 wireless performance for strong and stable coverage.
The VigorAP 805 supports up to 8 SSIDs per band and up to 256 wirelessly connected users, with 128 users per band. This allows businesses to create separate wireless networks for staff, guests or dedicated applications, while maintaining secure and efficient wireless access.
Its hardware interface includes one 2.5GbE LAN port and one Gigabit LAN port, providing flexible wired connectivity for modern networks. It also includes a button for wireless Mesh connection, a Factory Reset button and a DC power input socket.
The VigorAP 805 can operate in a Mesh topology, as a Mesh Root AP, Mesh Node or Range Extender, making it suitable for environments where wireless coverage needs to be expanded without additional cabling. This flexibility makes it ideal for offices, shops, meeting rooms, reception areas and other locations where desktop installation is preferred.
Security features include WPA3, WPA2 and WPA encryption, helping protect wireless connections and business data. In addition, Airtime Fairness and Band Steering help optimize network performance by improving wireless efficiency and guiding compatible devices to the most suitable band.
The VigorAP 805 can also function as a Virtual Controller, supporting Zero Touch Deployment and allowing the centralized management of other DrayTek access points. It can operate as a Node AP or as a Root AP, managing up to 20 DrayTek access points free of charge, with no additional licensing required.
