Vigor2865 series Security Firewall router includes VDSL2 Super Vectoring/ADSL+ modem/routers which are compatible with variants of ADSL and VDSL, including profile 35b Super Vectoring. The embedded modem provides DSL connectivity which is compatible with variants of xDSL, ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2 +, VDSL/VDSL2 (VDSL2 Profile: 8a, 8b, 8c, 8d, 12a, 12b, 17a, 30a.) and Super Vectoring 35b.
There is also a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port for broadband connections to share the traffic load or serve as a failover connection. 3G/4G/LTE USB modem can also be attached to the USB ports of the router, and offer wireless Internet connectivity in case the fixed lines are not available.
Vigor2865 supports protocol 802.1Q for tag-based VLAN and port-based VLAN, while it supports up to 8 IP subnets with different IP addresses from each VLAN while IP subnets 1 to 3 support up to 1022 IP addresses.
In addition, they feature Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) Firewall and flexible filtering rules. With the annual subscription to Cyren's Web Content Filtering service, websites are filtered by category and restrictions can be set to ban entire website categories (such as social networking sites, gaming etc) without having to block each site separately. A 30-day trial is available free of charge with each router.
Vigor2865 can act as the central management console for other Vigor devices on the network, including VigorAPs and VigorSwitches, and can manage up to 20 Access Points (VigorAPs) and up to 10 VigorSwitches.
